Emergency Small Business Grants and Loans Assistance
Dear Member,
The Governor announced some exciting news during his press conference today. The state has created some Illinois loans and GRANTS. The three programs announced are the Hospitality Emergency Grant Program, Illinois Small Business Emergency Loan Fund and the Downstate Small Business Stabilization Program.
To jump right in, here is the link to the Illinois Department of Commerce website containing the information on the grant and loan requirements and application process. It looks like applications are open now for the Hospitality grant. The Emergency loan fund and Downstate programs have a date of Friday, March 27 for applications/interest forms being available.
The Grundy Chamber and Channahon Minooka Chamber heard of these programs during the press conference this afternoon so the information we have is limited as of right now. I will be researching as much as I can on these programs immediately and will circulate information as I have it. In between my emails, continue to check grundychamber.com and our social media outlets for information.
An update on the federal CARES Act: It has passed the Senate and will go to the House Friday morning. The details of the Act are still fluid, but it currently consists of loans that can be forgiven. Click here for a summary link from the U.S. Chamber as the Act stands as of Thursday, March 26 morning. We will continue to update the Grundy Chamber website with information on the Act as we have it.
Other updated information and resources:
The Grundy County Chamber of Commerce continues to update its website with the most up to date information.
We continue to be in touch with our local legislators and communicating with them on your behalf. Please continue to be in touch with the Chamber on your needs and concerns via email at [email protected] or via my cell 815-715-2806. We will get through this, together.
Sincerely,
Christina Van Yperen
