Provide opportunities for member businesses to obtain higher degree of success through networking, referrals, marketing and other direct membership services.

Support tourism development efforts that will positively impact residents and businesses.

Provide a vehicle through which members can successfully affect legislation and government actions that impact the community.

Support educational excellence and assist in efforts to maintain an educated and available workforce.

Support the preservation of the area's natural resources that play a vital role in making Grundy County a great place to live, vacation and conduct business.

Provide a foundation for the future that will ensure the continued success of area businesses and individuals as they strive to reach their greatest potential.

In 2007, the Chamber created the Grundy Chamber Foundation, a separate organization that works to promote tourism and workforce readiness in the County.

Source of Economic Growth

Through the years, the Chamber has assisted in starting other councils or organizations that are still going strong today. The Business Education Council, Grundy Economic Development Council, and the Grundy County Corn Festival all got their start from the Chamber’s leadership. Our newest project, the HR Task Force has officially become the Grundy-Will HR Association – bringing human resource professionals from the region together to share ideas and best practices.

The Chamber has hosted a variety of programs and special events throughout the years. In addition to the programs and events, the Chamber continues to build our member’s equity. In 2001, the Chamber moved into the former Rock Island Train Depot and in 2005 we purchased the building which now serves as our main office. In 2006, the Chamber opened our first branch office in Coal City. In 2011 the Chamber merged operations with the Greater Channahon-Minooka Area Chamber and created the Channahon Minooka Chamber Division adding to the Chamber’s service with the Minooka location. These initiatives are meant to strengthen and grow the Chamber.
