Christine Mendez

Ambassador of the Year 2022, 2024

Christine Mendez of D Construction became an ambassador in 2021 with a prior employer.

"I became an ambassador because I knew the importance of keeping close ties with the community. It’s a great feeling to be able to connect with local businesses and business owners throughout Grundy County and surrounding areas. Being an ambassador helps me grow personally and professionally by building long lasting relationships. The ambassador program offers so many great volunteer opportunities, helps raise community awareness and helps build member commitment. It’s an honor being an ambassador with the Grundy Chamber and I look forward to the exciting years ahead.”

Congratulations and THANK YOU!

Grundy County Chamber Ambassador Club

One of the most active and visible committees within the Chamber, the Ambassador's Club is a group of active Chamber representatives dedicated to recruiting new members and helping existing ones maximize their membership benefits through volunteer, relationship building, and professional development opportunities.

As a vital part of Chamber public relations, Ambassadors volunteer their time to help ensure that Chamber events run smoothly and that the organization's membership remains strong and well informed. Ambassadors can usually be seen assisting at various Grundy County Chamber events such as connect@4, the Golf Outing, Family Fest and Chamber luncheons.

As some of the Chamber's top liaisons to membership, our Ambassadors play a vital role in member retention, recruitment, and communication. Each Ambassador has made a commitment to addressing member needs through information and support, and to ensuring that questions or concerns are heard by the Grundy County Chamber Staff and Board.

The efforts of the Ambassadors help to keep the Chamber in tune with its membership. Through member feedback, the Ambassadors help shape the type of programs and services provided by the Chamber.

Participation as an Ambassador provides the volunteer with extended business contacts through active association with other volunteers and members, professional and community recognition for both the volunteer and their business, as well as expanded communication and marketing skills.

The Ambassador's Club meets regularly on the second Friday of every month at 11:30 a.m.
