Eat, Drink, Shop & Be Merry shopping program ends Dec. 15th
COAL CITY – Passports for the Eat, Drink, Shop & Be Merry Passport Program in the Braidwood, Coal City and Diamond area due Monday.
The annual program by the Grundy County Chamber of Commerce & Industry and the Coalers Business Alliance kicked off on Small Business Saturday last month and goes through Dec. 15. Those shopping local get the chance to win Chamber Gift Certificates just for shopping at participating locations.
For every $10 spent shoppers earn a stamp. Once the card is filled, turn it in at one of the locations in the passport box for your chance to win $200, $100, or $50 Chamber Gift Certificate – accepted at almost 600 businesses and organizations in Grundy County.
“This annual program helps remind everyone that everything they need for the holidays can be found right here in our community,” Chamber President & CEO Christina Van Yperen said.
This year there are 16 businesses participating. Winners will be called Dec. 16 and will also be announced live on the Grundy Chamber’s Facebook page. Gift certificates will need to be picked up at the Grundy Chamber office, 909 Liberty St., Morris.
