On Sunday the Governor announced Region 2, which includes Grundy County, will enter mitigation at a Tier 1 level on Wednesday, Nov. 4 because of rising COVID-19 cases.
This includes no indoor dining or bar service for bars and restaurants, limiting hours to 11 p.m., and limiting gatherings to 25 guests or to 25% of room capacity, among other restrictions. The full list of restrictions can be found here.
While local enforcement of this may vary, the State has said Illinois State Police will enforce the restrictions. In addition, state officials have informed us that businesses that do not comply with mitigation regulations may not be eligible for the Business Interruption Grant funds.
