Chamber Tip Tuesdays

The Chamber recently started “Chamber Tip Tuesday” in which we post one tip a week on ways you can use your Chamber membership. These tips are a great reminder about member benefits and allow you to fully utilize your membership. Take a look at the list of tips we’ve given so far and keep an eye on our Facebook page each week for more.

• Login to your Chamber Master account and make sure all of your information is up to date including: representatives, categories, keywords, hours and phone numbers.
• Our Chamber offices serve as visitor centers for the area providing hundreds of information to visitors each year. Is your company’s brochure and business card displayed in each of our offices?
• Remember, not only new members can host a ribbon cutting. Do you have a new location? Are you celebrating an anniversary or other milestone? Let us know!
• Our resident greeter program offers your business a chance to reach new members of the county by providing them with a brochure and one other promotional item. Greeter bags get delivered to new members of the County on a monthly basis. We are currently only delivering to Morris and Coal City but we hope to expand to the rest of the County soon.
• As a member of the Chamber you can refer a new member and receive $40 in Chamber bucks that can be used for e-blasts, newsletter inserts, event registration fees and membership dues.
• Remember Chamber gift certificates can be used at any Chamber member location. Chamber gift certificates never expire and are available for purchase at the Morris Chamber office.
• Purchase our membership list to promote your business to other Chamber members.
• Don’t forget to attend one of our monthly luncheons. Learn about various business topics and network with fellow business owners.
• Get involved! Join our Business Expansion Network (BEN) or Women in Business and network with like-minded individuals and get to know people in your community.
• Utilize the Chamber’s bulk mail permit to save on postage costs. A minimum of 200 pieces are required. Certain U.S. Postal procedures must be followed.
• Insert an ad in Chamberlink, our bi-weekly e-newsletter. Your half-page ad will run twice in one month for $150.
• Insert a flyer in the Chamber’s monthly newsletter, the Courier, bringing member news and notices of the Chambers latest programs and projects. The newsletter reaches 550 people and is a great way to advertise your business.
