Brianna Lynn’s Boutique celebrates 35 years in downtown Morris

MORRIS – Dressing ladies in the latest fashion still brings mother and daughter duo Maureen Headrick and Monica Brehm joy, even after 35 years of owning Brianna Lynn’s Boutique.
Brianna Lynn’s 35th anniversary is in May. The fine women’s apparel and accessories store in downtown Morris, 215 Liberty St., will be celebrating with its customers by hosting numerous events May 29-May 31.
“It is our love for the business, our appreciation for our customers and the friends we make with them that continues to keep us going after all these years,” Brehm said. “The support our customers give us, as well as our wonderful staff, are the reasons Brianna Lynn’s is the amazing place that it is.”
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 29 there will be a French Dressing Jeans fit clinic followed by a Brighton Jewelry Trunk Show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 30. Then on May 31 they will have a Sourdough & Granola Baked Goods Pop-Up Shop from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Throughout these days there also will be refreshments, vendor giveaways, special discounts and free gifts with purchase.
The boutique carries sizes from 2-20 in both misses and petite. It carries brands such as Brighton accessories, Tribal sportswear, French Dressing Jeans, Joseph Ribkoff, and more. It also offers professional alterations.
One of the programs Brianna Lynn’s is most known for is its Gold Card Program – when customers make a $5 donation to Breast Cancer Research they receive a gold card which earns them 20 percent off one regular priced item each month, a free subscription to the boutique newsletter with coupons, a birthday coupon, free gift wrapping and invitations to members-only sales and events. Through the years their customers have raised thousands of dollars for Breast Cancer Research, Headrick said.
Brianna Lynn’s belongs to both the Morris Retail & Restaurant Association and the Grundy County Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
“Brianna Lynn’s is a destination store in downtown Morris. In addition to their beautiful selection, they’ve earned a reputation with customers where they feel welcomed and valued. It’s no wonder they have been open 35 years and are continuing to go strong,” Chamber President & CEO Christina Van Yperen said.
The boutique is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. During holiday seasons it is open 7 days a week.
“We plan to continue to provide quality, on-trend apparel and accessories, outstanding customer service to our community, and to work with other retailers to promote our wonderful downtown,” Headrick said.
